Frequently cited as a trusted advisor and thought partner, Shelly brings an exceptional aptitude for coupling team dynamics with business strategy. She has extensive management and consulting experience with global Fortune 500 companies, prominent universities, family owned businesses, national foundations, and high-growth start-ups.
Shelly founded Envision, in 2002 and has served clients such as Charles Schwab, Walmart e-Commerce, Lam Research, U.C. Berkeley, Stanford University, Autodesk, and Sandia National Labs. In the 80s, she helped build executive teams for many Silicon Valley startups that are now household names. At Charles Schwab in the 90s, she led workforce growth from 6,000 to 20,000 employees and helped launch two start-up businesses as Vice President of Human Resources. A lifelong learner, she continues to hone her craft as an instructor for several leadership development programs in the scientific and tech space as well as at Stanford University for the popular Leadership Labs course.
A creative thinker, and highly analytical – she leverages both in her engagements. Shelly holds a B.A. in History and Philosophy from The Colorado College and a M.A. in Organization Development from Sonoma State University. A lover of big trees and open spaces, she spends her free time hiking, cycling and exploring the natural world. She divides her time between her home in Sonoma and her cabin in the Sierras, with her husband and daughter.
